Good to know

Property may not be rented for less than 30 consecutive days. The 30 days do not need to start on the first of the month. Please let us know your dates and we can offer you a more specific rate for your stay. Note: This cost is for the studio cost, and after you proceed to book you will see the property taxes/cleaning fees to be included. A pet deposit may apply. Cozy private studio with full apartment-size kitchen and full bath. On the bottom floor of our house with a separate entrance. Residential area in Honolulu (Kamehameha/Alewa Heights). 10-15 minute drive to Waikiki Beach-Ala Moana-Airport-UH Manoa-Downtown, 3-5 minute drive to Restaurants & Stores. Free street parking. Bus stop a block away. AC, trundle king/2 twin beds, smart tv, and fast Wi-Fi. Safe & quiet neighborhood. While this studio could host two and a small child it's probably best suited for 1-2 guests. We will be happy to host a small family but please keep in mind it will be a little cozier. We will consider pets on a case-by-case basis. Small pets are preferred, and if the pets don’t do damage to their living area. No yard is available with the studio. The small kitchen has everything you need to cook a meal. Coffee maker available. There is a dedicated workspace with high-speed internet. The weather is always beautiful but if you prefer, there is strong AC to cool you off after a long day at the beach. The bathroom will have enough supplies of the essentials to hold you over until you can go shopping. Stocked with towels There is a laundry room available to you on the outside of the home if it is okay with upstairs guests as it is next to a bedroom window. We will coordinate times in which you will have access to washer/dryer. There is also a laundromat in close driving distance if you would rather bang out more than one load at once. I've been a nurse at one of the major hospitals here for well over a decade. Kapono, my husband, was born and raised on the island. Please feel free to reach out to us with any questions about the local area you may have during your stay and we would be happy to offer you our recommendations. Thank you for taking the time to learn about our space. Rental car or uber/lyft/taxi or bus Property may not be rented for less than 30 consecutive days We love our great neighbors and so we ask that you do not do anything that would bother them in any way. If you must smoke, I have had guests take walks around the lovely neighborhood to smoke and that is fine. Smoking just outside the front of the house may not be as good of an idea. Mahalo! Although the home is in a residential area and is part of the house it's quite private. I have hardly ever heard any sounds from around the area while relaxing in the space. 30-day booking.

Christy and Kapono were fantastic hosts. They are very proactive with communication and responsive to anything that came up. Their studio is an all around nice, comfortable, clean place to stay. The kitchen is definitely a highlight of this studio. It is better equipped than most long term studio rentals in the area. The AC was really nice as well. Though it is generally cool enough to not use it, having it available was a plus. Having washer and dryer access was also a huge benefit. Though it is shared with the upstairs unit, Christy made it really easy to coordinate access, and there was never a time when I needed to do laundry but felt like I couldn’t. Additionally, I never had an issue finding street parking while I was staying here (which is for sure not the case everywhere on the island). Definitely recommend having a car here, but would recommend that anyway to be able to get around and truly appreciate all of the island. Overall, highly recommend staying here!

I stay in a lot of Airbnbs and I can't say enough about how important it is to have great hosts, which sets the tone as well as your feeling of comfort and safety. Kapono and Christy were without a doubt the best hosts I've ever had. They showed me so much aloha which meant the world to me as I was going through a difficult loss. It was so appreciated. Not to mention how much I loved their home on the Hawaiian hillside! From the front windows you can watch the sunset over the ocean every evening and even see rainbows right in front of you, twice in the mornings, wow! At night, you can see the twinkling lights below all the way down to Honolulu harbor. I loved the feel of the older beautiful Hawaiian neighborhood and it was centrally located too with lots of privacy. I absolutely loved my stay here and would definitely come back! Aloha Kapono and Christy and mahalo nui loa.: )
